IndyFringe 2015
Two actors, preparing for a rehearsal, are forced by the company’s board of directors to do an immediate run of an obscure two-hour classical play in forty-five minutes… without the rest of the cast. Confusion, calamity, and chaotic cross-dressing ensue.
This is our 2015 IndyFringe offering performed at one of the festival's new venues, the Firefighter’s Union Hall at 748 Massachusetts Avenue. (Right next to the beer tent!)
Featuring the talents of Matt Anderson and Kate Homan, and written by Jeremy Grimmer, co-writer of such ETC best-selling hits as 10×10 and Shakespeare Wrote What…?, this is one Fringe show you won’t want to miss!

No one is safe...in a Shakespearean tragedy, that is, and in no play is this more clear than Titus Andronicus.

By transporting the characters and events of this play to an unforgiving post-apocalyptic world, a world that is as violent as any of the characters themselves, we explore the themes of family, revenge, and legacy in a setting where loyalty to your tribe may be your only hope of survival. Death could be waiting around every corner. The inherent violence shows what we as humans are not only capable of, but will devolve into, in the wrong circumstances.

The Indianapolis-voted number one show from last season’s 10x10xYouTitus makes for a perfect Halloween adventure.

In the not too distant future...or perhaps the relatively close past, internet hacker and former NSA analyst known by most as “Prometheus” sits in prison. Charged with espionage and theft, he is said to have leaked top-secret government files for Operation: Firenet, a multifaceted surveillance program that tracks American citizens' every move. NSA Director Jesus “Zeus” Reyes labels him a traitor, others call him a hero. Hero? Whistle-blower? Dissident? Traitor? See how this ancient Greek play explores the politics of power and tyranny, and reinvents itself as if ripped from today's headlines.

The smash-hit spectacular returns for a third outing, and this time we’ve kicked it up a notch.

The votes have been cast and we're hard at work making a fresh 10x10 out of the plays you selected! We're not telling which ones won, you'll have to come out and discover that for yourself!

10 X 10 combines the beautiful language of some of Shakespeare’s greatest works with a large dollop of modern irreverence and pop-culture parody. We can’t tell you which ten plays will be chosen, but we can say for certain it will be fast-paced, very funny, and star a large cast of familiar faces.

Update: Due to the threat of inclement weather, we have cancelled Sunday's 5:30 performance. In its place we have added a performance on Saturday, January 24, at 8 pm.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are on the case in this classic mystery. Conan Doyle’s play, based on his short story of the same name, is infused with a healthy dose of slapstick and physical humor in our brand new adaptation. A damsel in distress, daring disguises, dangerous discoveries, and a deducing detective. Is it a mystery? Is it a farce? Is it a whodunit? Surely Sherlock will have the answers!

In 1905, Russia’s poor starve, the newly minted middle class struggle to carve out their own lot, and students whisper about revolution. But among the political and social unrest, there are some who just go on eating, drinking, and dancing. Anton Chekhov’s comedy presents the decline of a once wealthy and renowned family as they foolishly cling to the past and to their ailing country estate.

Adapted by Thomas Cardwell, Artistic Director of EclecticPond, and Jeremy Grimmer, Associate Artist, this new show combines the beautiful language of some of Shakespeareís greatest works -- from Richard III to Twelfth Night -- with a large dollop of modern irreverence. The Archangel Gabriel and Goddess Venus, nominated by their fellow immortals to settle a longstanding bet between the classical and Christian gods, propose a game of temptation. Gabriel creates Abelard, a scholar of philosophy and ethics, to live the life of a true Christian, while Venus creates Eloisa, his precocious and nubile young pupil, as an attempt to sway him from that noble path.
